Allen, CA. In July 2001, the Bathurst office was opened to serve the needs of clients throughout the Chaleur Region, and in November 2009, an office was opened in Miramichi. All three offices take pride in providing all services in both official languages. Each office provides a full range of services including accounting, auditing, corporate and personal income tax, financial planning, estate and business planning, business plan preparation and business forecasts. Yves Arseneau, B.A.A., L.Sc.Compt, CA - PartnerYves graduated from the Université de Moncton in 1992 and obtained a business degree with a major in accounting and a minor in computer science. Yves received a license in accounting science from the Université de Laval in 1993 and received his CA designation in 1995 and he has been employed in public practice ever since. He became a partner in the firm in 1996.Yves is originally from Balmoral, NB and currently resides in Belledune, NB. He has a wide variety of experience and knowledge with small businesses, non-profit organizations, municipalities, health services organizations and especially the forest industry. Tony Babin, B.A.A., CA - PartnerTony graduated from the Université de Moncton in 1994 and obtained a business degree with a major in accounting. He was employed with LeBlanc Nadeau Bujold from 1994 to 1998 at which time he joined the firm Allen, Paquet & Arseneau LLP and has been in public practice ever since. Tony received his CA designation in 2002 and became a partner in the firm in 2004.Tony is originally from Charlo, NB and currently resides in Bathurst, NB. He is the managing partner of our Bathurst office and has a wide variety of experience and knowledge with small businesses, non-profit organizations, municipalities and First Nations. Tony is also the partner in charge of the Miramichi location. Alain Pitre, B.A.A., L.Sc.Compt., CGA - PrincipalAlain graduated from the Université de Moncton in 1993 and obtained a business degree with a major in accounting. Alain received a license in accounting science from the Université de Laval in 1994 and has been employed in public practice ever since. He also received his Certified General Accountant designation in 1998. Alain became a principal in the firm in 2000.He has a wide variety of experience and knowledge with small businesses, non-profit organizations, automobile dealerships as well as the forest industry. Alain is originally from Eel River Crossing, NB and currently resides in Point-la-Nim, NB. Rene Limoges, CGA - PrincipalRené is originally from Bathurst, NB where he graduated from the Bathurst Community College in 1990, majoring in accounting. He received his Certified General Accountant designation in 2000. He has a wide variety of experience and knowledge with small businesses, non-profit organizations, municipal accounting, First Nations as well as the forest industry.Lise Boudreau, B.A.A. - PrincipalLise graduated from the Université de Moncton in 1988 and obtained a business degree with a major in accounting. She joined the firm in 1989 and became a principal in 1996.Lise is the office administrator of the Campbellton office and has a wide variety of experience and knowledge with small businesses, non-profit organizations and First Nations. She currently resides in Campbellton, NB. Danny Lavallée, B.A.A. - PrincipalDanny graduated from the Université de Moncton in 1991 and obtained a business degree with a major in accounting. He has been employed in public practice ever since and became a principal in 1996.Danny has a wide variety of experience and knowledge with small businesses, non-profit organizations, municipalities, health services organizations and the forest industry. Campbellton
Campbellton is beautifully situated on the south bank of the Restigouche River, almost at the point where it meets the sea. The City is an entry point to Atlantic Canada from the Province of Quebec and is also the gateway from New Brunswick and the United States to the Gaspé Peninsula. It is the largest service center in its home county of Restigouche. The earliest settlements to the area contained Scottish, English, French, Irish and Micmac cultural groups. These vibrant people remain to this day a unique mosaic of the Canadian identity.
The city is the undisputed capital of salmon country. Sport fishing enthusiasts literally travel from around the world to this part of New Brunswick in search of Atlantic Salmon. To honour the king of game fish, the City erected an 8.5 meter stainless steel sculpture on its waterfront and lovingly adopted him as "Restigouche Sam".
Bathurst
During the nineteenth century, Bathurst developed as a trade center for the Chaleur Region. Outlying areas developed as farming and fishing communities, dependent on the Village of Bathurst for special services.
During the first half of the 1900s, the pulp and paper industry was the mainstay of the regional economy but mining gradually replaced pulp and paper as the major industry in the area and continues to dominate the local economy. Recent developments, such as the Thermal Power Generating Station in nearby Belledune, have strengthened the regional economy.
Today, the Chaleur Region continues to grow through its human-resource potential and imaginative innovations. A highly skilled and bilingual workforce, along with a beautiful and pristine environment, makes the Chaleur Region and of course Bathurst, the natural place to do business.
Miramichi
The City of Miramichi is a dynamic young city, which was formed through the amalgamation of five municipalities and several rural areas to form the new City of Miramichi in 1995. Its population of over 18000 makes it the fifth largest in New Brunswick. Since the City was formed in 1995, over $104,000,000 in new construction has occurred. Of this amount, 27% is attributed to new commercial development. Miramichi is a great community to live in and work, with over 22 kilometres of walking/hiking/biking trails, a 500 plus acre multipurpose nature park located in the centre of the city, two indoor pools, two arenas, an 18 hole golf course, two marinas, numerous ball parks, soccer fields, tennis courts, curling club, fitness centres, libraries and museums.
And of course, Miramichi rivals Campbellton for its reputation as the gateway to some of the best salmon fishing in the world!
