AC Stevenson & Partners CPA LLP and its predecessor firms have been providing public accounting services to clients throughout the Moncton area since the predecessor firm was founded in 1982. The firm has grown steadily since that time and now has a staff complement of 25 highly qualified individuals, led by five partners and four associates.
While the name may have changed, the firm's success is due to staying true to its founding principles, which were based on a perception of the needs of medium sized enterprises and organizations for quality and personalized attention in the areas of audit, accounting, taxation, bookkeeping, financing, computers and computer audit services. Each day, we strive to anticipate client needs and approach each engagement with a view to providing constructive service to address each client's specific requirements.
Our services include assurance, taxation (both corporate and personal), and accounting. When necessary, we also have corporate reorganization capabilities.

David is a native of Moncton, New Brunswick who commenced his training in 1979 with a local public accounting firm following graduation from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. In 1984, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and was admitted into partnership in 1987. Effective January 1, 2010 David became a Principal after the re-organization of the firm into a professional corporation. David has been active in community affairs, through the performance of audits and assistance with management plans for local charitable organizations, and serving on the Board of a local non-profit organization. David serves a broad range of clients, but has a focus on providing general accounting and business advisory services to medium/large profit entities, as well as personal and corporate taxation. In his leisure time, he is actively involved in sports, as well as being an owner of standardbred race horses.

Clarence is a native of the Kitchener-Waterloo area but has also lived in Bermuda and New York prior to moving to Riverview in 2008. He graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1997 and received his CA designation in 1998.
Prior to joining the firm, Clarence was a Senior Tax Manager with a national accounting firm and also spent several years in senior financial roles in industry. Clarence has considerable experience in taxation with a focus on owner/managed businesses, estate and succession planning, and cross border issues. He currently serves as a member of the AC Group tax committee.

Andrew has a B.Admin (Accounting) and a BA(Economics) from Acadia University. He began public accounting with Stevenson & Partners in 2000 and obtained his CA designation in 2003. In 2011, he completed a three year AC LEADERS program in advanced leadership.
Andrew is a general practitioner, providing a full range of personal and corporate tax, accounting and audit, financial projections, advisory services, etc to meet the needs of his clients. He has considerable experience with audits of credit unions and insurance companies, and with audits and reviews of various NFP organizations.
Andrew became a partner with Stevenson & Partners in January 2011.

John, originally from Saint John, NB, graduated from Dalhousie with honours in 1980. He joined a national CA firm, working in its Halifax office prior to transferring to Moncton in 1982. He joined Stevenson & Partners in 1997 as an Associate and effective January 1, 2010 became a Principal after the reorganization of the firm to a professional corporation.
John's practice has focused on providing a full range of assurance, tax and general advisory services to small and medium sized owner-management entities and individuals. He has a significant amount of practical computer experience, primarily with Microsoft Windows based applications.
He has been involved with his community as a senior volunteer with the Greater Moncton United Way/Centraide and as a Big Brother for over 10 years. He is also a founding member of the Moncton Squash Club acting as Treasurer since its inception.

Jordan is a fluently bilingual native of the Moncton area but has also lived in Toronto prior to joining AC Stevenson & Partners in 2006.
Jordan graduated from UNB with a BBA in 2004, having also attended Ryerson University. In 2010, he completed the CICA’s In Depth Tax Course. Jordan advises a broad array of clients on taxation and business issues, as well as running the firm’s insolvency and restructuring practice.
Since 2007 Jordan has been actively involved in the community previously with the United Way/Centraide of Greater Moncton and Southeastern NB, and currently as a Board member of the Greater Moncton YMCA Foundation.

David, born and raised in New Brunswick, graduated from UNB with a BBA in 1968, qualified as a CA in 1970 and was elected a Fellow of the Institute in 2002. He became a founding partner of the predecessor firm - Kennedy, Carver & Stevenson - in 1982 and then on to become an Associate effective January 1, 2010 after the reorganization of the firm into a profesional corporation.
A licensed trustee in bankruptcy since 1973, David also runs the firm's insolvency and restructuring practice.
He has been very active in community affairs serving as an officer or director of such organizations as Greater Moncton Family YMCA, the St. John Ambulance - NB Council, Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Marine Atlantic and the Greater Moncton Airport Authority. Most recently he was appointed Chair of the Board of Governors of UNB.

Douglas, born and raised in the Boston area, spent summers at their family cottage in New Brunswick. He attended universty at UNB and graduated in 1972 to go on to work for a time in New England then Montreal gaining accounting industry experience. Returning to the Maritimes, he received his designation in 1981 and became a partner of the predecessor firm - Kennedy, Carver & Stevenson in 1984 - and effective January 1, 2010 became a Principal after the reorganization of the firm to a professional corporation.
As a member of both the NB and NS Institutes, Doug has considerable experience in succession planning, Canadian and US tax practice, as well as finance arrangements with forecasting and projections preparation.
He has been active in many community organizations in the Greater Moncton area. Currently, he serves with the AC Group Executive Committee and is a past member of the Tax Committee.

Philip has been a resident of Moncton since 1974, but has lived in Bermuda, Toronto and London, England. He received his CA in 1964 and received his FCA designation in 1988. Prior to joining the firm in July 2000 as an Associate, Philip was a partner with a national accounting firm for over twenty years. He has over 40 years of practical experience in the field of public accounting. He provides assurance and tax services to a wide range of businesses and has a particular focus on Credit Unions. Active in community and professional affairs, he has served as President of the New Brunswick Institute of Chartered Accountants and has served numerous community based organizations as President, including The Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Moncton, Rotary Club of Moncton and Mental Health of Moncton. He has also served on the National and Provincial boards of some of these organizations.

Mark is a native of Albert County, NB. Mark received his CA designation in 1974. He was a partner with a national accounting firm until August, 1997, prior to joining the firm and becoming an Associate Partner. Mark provides audit, accounting and general business advisory services to a variety of businesses engaged in transportation, manufacturing, hospitality, and the service sector. Other consulting services include preparing cash projections and forecast, financial consulting and general business advisory service. He also provides business and personal financial planning services to owner mangers. Mark is active in community affairs, politics, and his church.
