Introducing our new President & Executive Officer - Paul Belliveau, FCPA, FCA
The AC Group Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul F. Belliveau FCPA, FCA, as its new President and Executive Officer. A founding member of the AC Group of Independent Accounting Firms Limited, Paul is responsible for implementation of the strategic direction and oversight of the daily operations of the Group.
With over 40 years of public accounting experience, Paul is also a founding partner of Belliveau Veinotte Inc. Chartered Professional Accountants with offices in Barrington Passage, Shelburne, Liverpool, Bridgewater, Chester and Halifax – one of the participating firms in the AC Group. Paul will continue to provide clients of Belliveau Veinotte Inc. with business advisory, tax and assurance services.

Paul graduated from St. Mary’s University in 1977 and obtained his CA designation in 1982. Paul started his career with the Barrow Nicoll office in Halifax then transferring to Bridgewater in 1981. The office became a Collins Barrow then Coopers & Lybrand office. In 1998 Paul and Robert Veinotte acquired the Bridgewater office starting Belliveau Veinotte and expanding to Shelburne, Barrington Passage, Chester, Halifax and Liverpool. Paul continues to work with Belliveau Veinotte Inc. while also carrying on the responsibilities of being President and Executive Officer of the AC Group of Independent Accounting Firms.
Paul has been involved in many community organizations over the years such as Kinsmen, Bridgewater Development Association, coaching baseball and hockey and being the chair for the construction of the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre in Bridgewater. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Nowluneburgcounty and Nova Scotia Business Inc.
In 2005 Paul and Robert Veinotte met with Bob Caswill to discuss the possibility of starting an accounting firm group and hence the birth of the AC Group of Independent Accounting Firms took place.
In 2009 Paul was awarded the designation of FCA by the Nova Scotia Institute of Chartered Accountants in recognition of his accomplishments professionally and service to the community. In 2012 Paul was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his contribution to the community.
Paul and his wife Michelle live in Bridgewater. Two of their three children, Andre and Michael are CPA, CA’s while their daughter Kate is an actuary. Paul and Michelle have four grandchildren, who along with his work and board commitments, keeps Paul very busy and young.
